I took a little creative license with this one since I had already watercolored 15 of these Easter baskets for the Spring Thaw challenge.. really just couldn't get the 3/4" piece to work... and I rotated it....

Great sketch on the Stars and Stamps.org blog this week = so versatile, but really easy to use. I found Chef Turkey on Elizbeth Dulemba's blog (http://dulemba.blogspot.com). She is soo talented! I'm still working on the watercolor pencil technique...

Color challenge: Perfect Timing

So the challenge is make a card using your favorite colors... some of which are greens (olives, lime), brown, pink (with brown or light blue) and soft corals, blues = the "tropical stuff." And what to my wondering eyes did appear at Stamp Club but a card using two of these colors that I absolutely love, love and will use again and again for many different occasions - thinking OpWriteHome "miss you," anniversary you," birthday, "thinking of you" .... The stamp is a new Stampin' Up watercolor floral, the ink is Stampin' Up olive, which I immediately ordered! I love how the front of the card is torn (I would distress a bit as well) and then the inside cream insert is also stamped.

Two Sketches = One Card or Get Busy and Do Two Cards!

Don't you just love these lucious spring colors in that dress. I dug int omy stamps and decided to "try" to incorporate it into a watercolor resist technique card for the color challenge.. hmm... The techique using water colors and Crayola crayons worked but becuase it is supposed to be "watercolored" it looks so washed out in every photo I took of it i.e. no vibrant colors in the original mean none in the photo.. oh, well, love the technique and will use on some Mother's Day cards.
