VCMP CHALLENGE #10: Vintage (yeah!)

Vintage Valentine for my hubby perfect for challenge #10.. I'm not seriously "into" vintage but sometimes just love the look of Kraft paper and deep colors. Roses colored with Copic R39,56 and then shading outlined with black spica.

Valentine and a Color Challenge...

I love these two new challenge blogs that a friend sent me to - great challenges and one can never have too many of those to keep the creative juices flowing.. Elle the elephant was colored with Copics (cool grays and light RV mainly) for Stamp Something challenge blog and Sentimental Sundays blog (red, pink and white).

Valentine's Day is Coming!

This card was made using textured impression on the Sizzix for the background "love" word, stamped with I (Heart) Hearts Stampin' Up! stamp and then punched out; also used heart embosslit! This card is being submitted to challenges on:

Clean and Simple White on White...

I love clean and simple sketches. This sketch using Stampin'Up Rose Red paper accenting white is being submitted for Operation Write Home's midweek throwdown: White on White with a pop of color and to Splitcoasterstampers for the "Clean and Simple" Challenge!

Let the 2011 Challenges Begin....

One of my New Year's resolutions was to take part in more challenges - they are so much fun and it's a great opportunity to find new artists etc.! So this is the first ever weekly challenge on a new blog, "Do You Stack Up? It looks like it's going to be a great challenge blog with wonderfully talented digital artists whose work we can chose from. Elle the Elephant here is just the cutest Valentine girl that I found at Spyder's Corner blog, and part of this challenge was to use buttons!Elle is colored with Copics (R81,85; C00, C01, C03, T4 primarily).

Happy Turkey/Valentine's Day

The midweek challenge on Operation Write Home is Valentine's Day cards! There's just something off kilter about making Valentines while the smell of fresh baking pumpkin and pecan pie drifts in from the kitchen and the TV is flashing pictures of everyone headed home to grandma's for Thanksgiving! I just love this owl punch from Stampin'Up! And, heck, I don't give a HOOT -- if the timing's off for Valentine Day, the sketch can be a little "off" the measurements for Sketch Challenger 44. Live on the edge, I say!
