Happy New Year 2011.. and I Do Resolve To.....

December was a madhouse and I'm not sure I'd go on vacation again right before Christmas but we had a wonderful time at Disney World in the freezing Florida weather and came home with nasty headcolds to prove it! The coolest thing about the entire month was that here in beautiful downtown Mint Hill NC we had a white Christmas Weekend! And the resident deer are back in the yard chowing down on what's left of greenery and deer corn.



So now it's 2011, a year since I retired and began making cards. I just became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and placed my first order. There are so many challenges out there that I am determined to participate in on Stampin' Up!, Operation Write Home, Scrapmasters, Magnolialicous... get those creative juices flowing! Hubby made new "tool table" for the craft room and today and tomorrow are organization days.. then it's ready, set, create! ::oh, and lose 20 pounds::

OWH "Missing You' challenge

This little card is one that I made before I looked seriously to see what the challenges were this week and even though it doesn't say "miss you," it's still a card to send to a young son or daughter whose done something that deserves a "high 5"!

Got sidetracked from challenges and the blog lately = doing bretter, I resolve, in 2011.. this time last year I really didn't know how to make a card and now.... so I have no excuses for this and other challenge boards that are so much fun! Major bummer is that the local store where we had such fun and got so many ideas for OWH cards has closed so we are looking for a place to create.. not that I won't keep up my "quota" but it's just not going to be the same if we don't find a place...
