Mojo Monday 176 and On the Farm Challenges

I'm still sailing on the Raisin Boat and lovin' this Chicken Coop set but can't decide if I prefer the ladies on the craft cardstock or springy blue. Here is this week's sketch on Mojo Monday:
.

The "ladies" are also participating in the Midweek On The Farm challenge at Operation Write Home.

Valentine's Day is Coming!

This card was made using textured impression on the Sizzix for the background "love" word, stamped with I (Heart) Hearts Stampin' Up! stamp and then punched out; also used heart embosslit! This card is being submitted to challenges on:

Do You Stack Up - red challenge
PaperPlay Challenges - stamp it out challenge

OWH Sketch 54 and the Raisin Boat...

So my colleague at Papercrafters.com hooked me up with a great new company -- Raisin Boat -- that has an adorable line of stamps and other products! I'm half way through their online catalog and I've seen at least 5-6 sets that I just have to have! They sell and rent clear stamp sets and most appear to be sized perfectly for cards. I adapted one of the cute checks from their "Chicken Coop" set to this week's sketch. Check 'em out at http://www.raisinboat.com.

Mission Work Space: Accomplished!

I finally agreed to give up my divine, comfy, big chair and take advantage of all the space it was taking up in my relatively small craft room = Wow! What a difference a chair made. I've kept the basic layout but Steve built me a "tool table" to go over the new cubes I got for my growing Stampin' Up! stash so now my Big Shot and smaller Cricut are where I can use them without going on a trip to the closet. Now I have much more closet space because the Expression fits on my bookshelves now along with my magazines, Tim Holtz stash, etc. The microwave cart "mini island" (for a mini room) from Target is a perfect paper cutting/work space with a ton of storage for small punches, ribbon, clear stamps. My Nestabilities and large punches now reside on Ikea magnetic shelves. What did we do before Ikea???? Thanks to Dixie for the ribbon idea (too cute - and colorful) and Jo and Kate for waiting on card clinic. Now back to challenges, Papercrafterscorner and being creative... and staying organized.. you can do this, you can do this....

Cards for Kids and Patterned Paper Challenges

OWH midweek throwdown was to create a card for troops to send home to their childen. Do You Stack Up has a patterned paper challenge and I finally got my new Top Note Sizzix die and figured out how do to the "quilt" thing = I love it when all the stars align. I love this sentiment for an "anytime" card to send home to your daughter (or young son....)
