Clean and Simple White on White...

I love clean and simple sketches. This sketch using Stampin'Up Rose Red paper accenting white is being submitted for Operation Write Home's midweek throwdown: White on White with a pop of color and to Splitcoasterstampers for the "Clean and Simple" Challenge!

Mojo Monday... on Tuesday

New Year's resolution was to take part in more challenges and I've been lurking on Mojo Monday for a while ... improvised just a tad on this week's sketch putting the two small hearts above the cardstock block - it just "worked" better..

"Missing" OWH Sketch 34 & More DYST Distressing..

I love this sentiment from E.T's blog (see link below) and it just "fit" with missing Sketch Challenge 34 for Operation Write Home. I must admit I never realized 34 went missing but then a lot slides by me these days. And today really wasn't a "blue Monday" but I thought loved this message for OWH and the color blue so it just seemed like a good fit.

This card is also being submitted for the second challenge on DYST to create a distressed card. I ran CORE cardstock through the Sizzix with a Tim Holtz distressed wood embossing folder and then sanded it down and distressed the edges of the circle and card base with peacock blue pigment ink.

Do You Stack Up? Distress it....

Challenge 2 on this new blog is to create a card "in distress"! I used Tim Holtz walnut inkpad to age the card base and some scraps of Stampin' Up! paper for the accents. Image is colored with watercolour pencils blended with Aqua Pen.
