Holy Cow.. has it been 2 months since I've been here? Yep, it's my blog, looks the same, just needs a little more attention. Midweek challenge on Stars and Stamps this week was good timing since I need Father's Day card for Lacie Jane to give "dad", this would be a cute card for our heros to send home, and I wanted to try some embossing these great Shimmer Sheetz we bought at Peanut Doodles.
Hard to color the doggie to look like Lacie because she's so brindle and my Copics weren't feelin' the brindle love..

Winged Things Midweek Throwdown

Caro, Nice to see you here again. It's been a long time but well worth the wait. What a special card for Lacie Jane to give to Dad. I love that paper embossed and I think you did a great job with your Copics. Enjoy the weekend.

ReplyDeleteI also love that you have a rescued dog! We've always had rescues, and somehow ended up driving three across the country last year in a motorhome to our new house. We'd sworn we were stopping with two (one of which was rescued on his kill day), then Jessie, our darling German Pinscher, came on TV on her supposed last weekend left at the shelter, so now we have three. And I've stopped watching the dog adoption segment on the news. lol

ReplyDeleteAw-w-w. So adorable. Between all of us in the immediate family, we have adopted 15+ rescued cats over the past 5 years. Our son and d-i-l also feed the feral cats in their mountain neighborhood, keep a small "dog house" with blankets for them to use in the winter, and take them to the vet when they are ill or injured. I guess you could say we love cats ;) Also dogs, it just happens that we seem drawn more to cats.
