Sketch 30 and Midweek Coloring Challenge - a "twofer"

With the dog stoned on the bed after a good dose of Xanax for storm phobia (and a very challenging walk in the wet grass to take care of business --he kept falling over!), I needed some downtime.. a luxury of being retired :)

Love this weeks OWH sketch.. very very versatile and I used the colors in my craft room as inspiration for the coloring challenge which is an adorable image from Michelle Perkett. Decided to try my new Derwent watercolor pencils and the Aqua Painter which is still a learning curve -- love this technique!

  1. We've had dogs who were terrified of storms before too.

Your card is just gorgeous, I love the colors you used and that sketch is a good one isn't it? I've made a couple cards using it too and really like it. Thanks for playing along with us again this week at Operation Write Home!

You need to enter your card into the Michelle Perkett Studio challenge too, it's an anything goes so your card is perfect! Here's a link for you: http://michelleperkettstudio.blogspot.com/2010/08/anything-goes-with-michelle-perkett.html

  2. Wonderful card! I love how you've used the flexibility of sizing the digi so that its a close up and cropped in such a nice way. Very creative!
